Paris Air Show 2007
The UK aerospace industry will be out in force at the Paris Air Show 2007. The UK Pavilion contains more than 100 companies and seven regional trade associations promoting their skills and expertise to a global audience. A large number of UK based companies will be exhibiting within the other main halls and all will be receiving the active support of UK Government agencies UK Trade & Investment and the Defence Export Services Organisation (DESO).

The Minister for Trade and Industry, Margaret Hodge MBE MP visited companies in the pavilion at the Paris Air show today. Below are some photos of the Minister visiting the Independent Forging Alloys stand and later meeting Simon Beech, Chief Executive of Naysmith Group. She also received a warm welcome from representatives of WEAF (West of England Aerospace Forum).
Delivering sustainable aviation is the biggest challenge facing the global aerospace industry, says SBAC. Although aviation contributes less than two per cent of total greenhouse gas emissions, public concerns about continued growth in aviation are high on the political agenda.
SBAC together with partners Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) and Aerospace Wales Forum have launched an online Directory of Aerospace Capability.
The aerospace industry is a UK success story says the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC). Its 2007 Annual Aerospace Survey published 11 June 2007, shows that the industry supports 276,000 UK jobs, has a turnover of £20 billion and exports 63 per cent of all it produces.

Atlas Composites is marking 10 years at the top with an appearance at the Paris airshow. And the firm has further cause for celebration: achieving AS9100 accreditation for the manufacture of flying parts and the signing of an important contract with Meggitt Thermal Systems.

In the twelve months since Farnborough 2006, The Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, FAC, one Europe's largest and most established aerospace and defence organisations continues to gain strength both through member acquisition, which now exceeds 400 and its growing presence in the global aerospace and defence sectors.

Nasmyth Group announcment: Gov. The £multi-million orders have been placed by Contour Premium Aircraft Seating and are for the supply of aircraft interiors for both Far East and North American carriers.
