The SC21 programme is largely about doing what we already do but in a more efficient, and co-ordinated way.
Through consultation with the aerospace & defence industry, we have been able to develop and agree a common implementation engagement process across the industry for implementing SC21. The implementation process has been designed specifically to provide a simple framework within which to operate, rather than prescriptive rules.
The SC21 engagemnent process is fundamentally the same however you implement SC21, merely different organisations play different roles within the framework.
There are different pages that provides further details on the different diagnostics:
- Certification & Quality Improvement: AS/EN 9100 - Nadcap [link]
- Development & Performance: Manufacturing and Business Excellence diagnostics [link]
- Relationships: RMM tool [link]
- SC21 award companies & case studies [link]
Through the national implementation plan, the Project Office oversees and manages the development of the programme, and tracks the implementation of the SC21 signatory members. The plan is updated on a quaterly basis and is merely based on the 4 step model implementation.
For any questions on how to implement the SC21 principles, please contact the Project Office via the email sc21@sbac.co.uk
