The SC21 programme is largely about doing what we already do but in a more efficient, and co-ordinated way.
Through consultation with the aerospace, defence and security industry, we have been able to develop and agree a common engagement and implementation process for SC21. The implementation process has been designed specifically to provide a simple, yet flexible framework which a company can use to its best advantage, a much better approach than prescriptive rules or tick box exercises.
The SC21 engagement process is fundamentally the same for every SC21 signatory, however you do have control on how you decide to effect your implementation of SC21. We recognise that different organisations will play different roles, have different approaches and work towards SC21 excellence in different ways.
There are pages within this site which that provide further details on the various diagnostics and tools, please see below:
- Certification & Quality Improvement: AS9100 and Nadcap [link] for example
- Development & Performance: (EFQM) Manufacturing and Business Excellence diagnostics [link]
- Relationships: RMM [link]
Also we have a number of already successful companies with awards and other achievements (see below)
- SC21 award companies & case studies [link]
Through the National Status Report (previously known as the National Implementation Plan), the SC21 Project Office oversees and manages the development of the programme, and proactively tracks the status of the SC21 signatory members. The plan is updated roughly on a monthly basis.
For any questions on how to implement the SC21 principles, please contact the SC21 Project Office via the email sc21@adsgroup.org.uk.
