The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) invests about £500 million per year in research and training projects in engineering and physical sciences. A main focus is working in partnership with universities on programmes in the following areas:

- networking
- public engagement.
Companies who work collaboratively with UK universities may also benefit from EPSRC funding programmes, and there is an opportunity to express interest in receiving EPSRC funding when bidding into the DTI Technology Programme.
