Delivering Performance in the Aerospace Supply Chain
The North West Aerospace Alliance(NWAA) had pleasure in inviting you to their event at this year's Paris Air show entitled ?Delivering Performance in the Aerospace Supply Chain? hold on Monday 18th June 2007 on site at the SBAC UK Chalet 223, Row D.
At this event representatives from the suppliers themselves reported on the work that has been undertaken and achievements to date. Attendees swa suppliers' own views of the mentoring process from BAE Systems, Airbus and Rolls Royce, feedback on benchmarking using the North West Aerospace Alliance Learner to World Competitive model and on the development of supplier improvement plans.
UK - Japan Aerospace Networking Reception
As part of its ongoing programme of activity SBAC was working in partnership with SJAC (Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies) to organize a networking reception for Japanese and UK companies at the Paris Airshow. This provided an excellent opportunity for UK companies to develop business relationships with Japanese companies and explore opportunities to work together.
Briefing and Networking with French Aerospace Valley
The Aerospace Valley Midi Pyrenees & Aquitane was hosting a briefing and networking session on the first trade day of the Paris Airshow to enable British companies to get more information about this regional cluster and to meet potential French partners.
UK Reception at Ambassadors Residence
The British Ambassador in Paris, was hosting a UK Industry Reception with the SBAC President, Chris Geoghegan, Group Executive Director of BAE Systems. The reception took place at the Ambassador's residence on the rue du Faubourg St Honore in Paris on Monday 18 June 2007 from 19:00 - 21:00. SBAC was working with the British Embassy to compile a guest list of senior government, military and industry officials worldwide, who were attending the Paris Air Show. UK Pavilion exhibitors and SBAC member companies were invited to purchase tickets to allow them to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with senior industry and government guests from the UK and overseas network with other attendees.

UK Gala Dinner, Concorde La Fayette Hotel
UKTI & SBAC were delighted to invite you to a gala dinner that was organised for exhibitors within the UK Pavilion at the Paris Air Show. The dinner was held at Concorde La Fayette, 3, place du General Koenig, 75017 Paris, France at 19:00 on Tuesday 19 June 2007. The event was hosted by Margaret Porteous, Director Advanced Engineering at UKTI and offered an invaluable opportunity to network with UKTI invited inward delegations, commercial officers and other exhibitors within the UK Pavilion.
Mexican Breakfast Briefing
The breakfast briefing concentrated on the opportunities Mexico offers to foreign companies in engineering, services and manufacturing.
Speakers were representatives of companies that are already engaged with Mexico and benefiting from the dynamism of this industrial sector, as well as the official responsible for the aerospace sector in the Ministry of the Economy of Mexico.
This briefing was presented by Dr Eduardo Solis, Head of the Office for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of the Economy of Mexico, and covered the overall scope of the opportunities within Mexico. The briefing ended with a Q&A session.

Meeting with Mitsubishi
The Japanese have plans to build a 70-100 seat regional jet (the MRJ), which will enter into service in 2012. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) were exhibiting a mock up of the jet on their stand at the show and had agreed to host a visit and meeting for a group of UK companies that are interested in exploring opportunities on the project.
