Sustainable Airport Environments 2008

Date: 1-2 October 2008

Venue: Sofitel Hotel London Heathrow, Terminal 5, London Heathrow Airport ,TW6 2GD

"Carbon Footprint" is the buzzword on the lips of the world and is likely to remain so for many a year. As such the aviation industry has quickly become public enemy number one.
With passenger and freight operations forecast to continue their growth, both airports and airlines look set to be in the firing line when it comes to the question of protecting the future of the planet.
Aviation is under increasing pressure to monitor and manage its impact on the environment and satisfy progressively stricter protection standards and regulations. Environmental issues to be tackled for all airports include noise reduction, air pollution, water pollution, power reduction, ramp safety and waste management.
The conference is intended to be practical not political.

Sustainable Airport Environments 2008, an International Airport Review conference, will bring together the leading figures from around the world to discuss the latest developments in sustainable land and air operations. This landmark event will include presentations from the leading figures from the aviation sector, panel discussions, a table top exhibition and unrivalled networking opportunities.
