SBAC / SJAC NETWORKING RECEPTION

With aerospace imports in excess of US$6 billion annually and government backed ambitions of capturing 15% of the global aerospace market by 2025, the Japanese aerospace market offers significant opportunities for industry. In addition is attempting to develop many specialised aerospace technologies that will be complementary to those of the and may present opportunities for joint development.

As part of our ongoing programme of activity SBAC is working in partnership with SJAC (Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies) to organise a networking reception for Japanese and companies at the Paris Airshow. This will provide an excellent opportunity for companies to develop business relationships with Japanese companies and explore opportunities to work together.

OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH THE AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRY & DEFENCE NETWORKING DELEGATION

The Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) is planning to bring a trade mission to the Paris Airshow (15-19 June 2009). AIDN's mission is to provide the focal point for Global interaction with Australia's dynamic base of smaller defence companies. Included in this team will be 20 companies involved in the Joint Strike Fighter project as well as other key areas of aerospace and defence.

In order to develop international relationships for our small to medium enterprise business community we have attached a capability directory of the Australian companies, including their contact details and core capabilities, to assist with developing industry introductions with your members participating at the Paris Airshow, and to build Australia/Global business opportunities.

ASSETS & OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE AEROSPACE INDUSTRY IN MOROCCO

Following the launch of the Kingdom of Morocco 's National Plan for Industrial Emergence, the Moroccan Aerospace Industry has been identified as one of the Kingdom's key priorities. This prioritization coupled with the industry's robust growth and development in the recent years make for an exciting time as the country enters a new phase aimed at making it one of the most competitive Aerospace industries in the Mediterranean region. Currently comprised of centres of excellence in production and engineering, the Moroccan Aerospace Industry is now moving towards the development of high-tech occupations, and thus a wider offering of products and services to aerospace companies, with very competitive economics.

The Groupement des Industriels Marocains Aeronautique et Spatial (GIMAS) and the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Ahmed Reda CHAMI, Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies.

The Minister will discuss the assets and opportunities for the aerospace industry in Morocco as well as the elements of the dedicated offer that has been developed for potential foreign investors.

UK INVITATION TO PARIS REGION BRIEFING AND NETWORKING EVENT

Paris Ile-de-France Agence Regionale de Development are planning a conference dedicated to UK companies to present:

  • The Paris region economy
  • The Aerospace sector in the Paris region and our competitiveness cluster
  • The Paris region Economic Development Agency's services (free and confidential) for foreign companies during their setting process.

The presentation will be followed by a cocktail /networking party with French companies.
