21st century supply chains (SC21) > SC21 communications
SC21 communications
The SC21 communications strategy has been successfully rolled out during the first quarter of 2008. As well as regular press releases the communications group has coordinated two features, one carried in New Electronics and another in Flight International. Both have received positive feedback. The next quarter will seek to build on these successes and develop more interest in the programme around the Farnborough Air Show and through other partnerships and new case-studies.
Specifically, the communications group is working to place a feature on SC21 in a national daily newspaper, contact is being made with the Farnborough Air Show daily publications with a view to developing coverage, a presentation package including new collateral and a newly edited video is being prepared as a give-away at the air show and other events, potential joint opportunities are being examined through links with the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing and the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies, task-force meetings are reviewed for new stories and an update on the national implementation plan is planned for MDs and CEOs of all signatory companies.
With such a variety of activities it is extremely important that all SC21 communications are co-ordinated through the communications group. If you have a story to tell the group will be happy to help you make the most of it and to ensure it doesn't clash with any other activities. Please get in touch with John Fyall, Matthew Knowles or Phil Curnock who will be happy to discuss any external communications ideas with you.
