21st century supply chains (SC21) > how do I? - guides
how do I? - guides
In the initial phase implementation is focused upon three key streams:
accreditation - SC21 companies in their role as customers will recognise and accept AS/EN9100 and Nadcap accreditation. This will remove the need for multiple customer audits of supplier' Quality Management Systems. This achieves resource efficiencies and lowers costs and overheads for all parties. Signing up to SC21 does not commit companies to achieving AS/EN9100 or Nadcap where these quality standards are not relevant to the industry segment in which that company is operating.
development and performance - SC21 companies are committed to achieving common industry development and performance plans which are derived from a common diagnostic framework. They are also committed to working together with suppliers to implement common, shared improvement plans. Common metrics and a recognition mechanism will be deployed across industry to more effectively benchmark and monitor the supply chain.
relationships - SC21 companies recognise that sustained success in our industry requires inter company communication that promotes working together with openness, honesty, integrity, and trust. They subscribe to the Supply Chain Relationships in Action, (SCRIA) code of practice to improve supply chain performance and to reduce risk.
